Yes, this is one of the most important things you must take care of.
A stomach with a weak acid is responsible for many diseases.
There probably aren’t any doctors who would treat asthma by … acidifying the stomach.
The best part is that you can test your stomach pH by yourself.
It is worth checking out because you can get rid of your conditions and the method is simple.
Let’s start with heartburn first.
Have you ever had a heartburn?
And what do you do then?
When your esophagus burns, you go to the doctor/pharmacy and take medicines that … weaken or even neutralize stomach acid?
You feel relieved but your body is suffering from further new conditions.
This is the reason for many of your health problems.
But let’s start from the beginning.
You have an esophagus that is connected to the stomach.
In front of the stomach, and under the ribs there is a strong muscle – diaphragm. This muscle has a hole in the place where the esophagus enters the stomach. The opening shrinks and relaxes, in order to isolate the esophagus from the stomach.
If you are experiencing heartburn, then the gastric juices are throbbing and splashing, hitting the esophagus. Then you feel burning, heartburn. You may even be vomiting.
What should you do then?
You usually buy or have your doctor prescribe you medicine for heartburn, which reduces the acidity of the stomach.
What does it mean?
Our stomach works perfectly when it is very acidic. The gastric mucus constantly produces strong hydrochloric acid which is necessary and it has to have low pH.
PH 7 occurs only at the contact of gastric juices with mucus. It is still neutralized there. However, the pH of the stomach is 1 – 2.5.
In chemistry the acidity is determined by pH:
- pH – 1: very acidic,
- pH – 7: neutral: water is pH – 7,
- pH – 14: very basic.
When you take the pill for heartburn, you neutralize stomach acid to pH 6 – 7. You feel relief, but the heartburn is still there; you just can’t feel it now.
An important role here plays the sphincter, which separates the stomach from the esophagus. After taking the pill for heartburn, the opening continues to splash the stomach acid into the esophagus, but at that point, the stomach acid has a pH similar to water. The principle is this: the more acidic the stomach, the more the sphincter tightens, the less acidic the more it loosens.
Here is the final conclusion: you are experiencing heartburn because your stomach isn’t acidic enough. In such a situation, the stomach acid should be acidified rather than neutralized, as does the academic medicine.
If you take a tablet for heartburn, you neutralize acid in your stomach, instead of acidifying it.
What are the consequences of having neutral or weak stomach acid?
If you eat fats, carbohydrates, simple sugars, the body is good at digesting them. The problem occurs when eating protein, for example, meat, cheese, vegetables. Protein is made up of individual amino acids and it’s the amino acids that are the building blocks in your body. They are necessary to form other proteins and substances. It won’t be able to do it by itself, it needs to have the substrates that you will provide it with.
If the stomach has acidity above pH-3, many substances are not absorbed. With acid pH 6-7, the stomach is practically not working. This is because protein from meat or vegetables is not completely digested or divided into amino acids. Such a process requires hydrochloric acid, pepsin, and many other substances.
Undigested protein is rotting. This is not a problem if it passes through the duodenum into the small intestine, large intestine, and will be expelled from the body. The problem is when the undigested protein goes into the bloodstream.
Then the immune system sees a foreign body and begins to fight it.
The consequences of this “battle” can be destructive to the body:
- knee pain,
- a strong cough,
- skin problems: eczema, rash, stains, etc.
- myocardial infarction,
- undigested proteins may be allergens, causing allergies,
- Inability to produce proteins by the body causes many other diseases.
All this happens because we do not have a strong stomach acid!
Just acidify your stomach to get rid of many diseases! Of course, the diseases arise for different reasons, but it is worth checking if your stomach is the cause behind these symptoms.
How to acidify the stomach?
Let’s first examine the pH of your stomach.
Drink 1/2 to 3/4 cup water with half a teaspoon of baking soda. Mix the mixture and drink in the morning when you get up from the bed. Then measure the time it takes you to burp after drinking the mixture. A solution of sodium combined with stomach acid begins to react, releases carbon dioxide and comes out as a “burp”.
How soon do you have to burp?
From 90 seconds, up to 3 minutes. If you do not burp, it means that the hydrochloric acid is too weak and its pH is too high – the stomach is not acidic. If you burp after 90 seconds, then you have an over-acidic stomach. The test is 99.5% adequate. You should do it every now and then to check the condition of the stomach.
However, it is best to directly examine the pH of gastric juices by the test called gastroscopy (only such test is practically not performed).
I will mention several methods of acidifying the stomach, which should be combined depending on need:
- taking vitamin C in powder before eating. Iron is released and acidifies the stomach.
- 15 minutes before meals, mix 1/4- 1/2 cup water with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and drink it. After a few minutes, the stomach should release the juices. Thanks to that it is not heavy after eating a meal, there is no bloating. These are the results of bad digestion.
- Wormwood tincture – you have to do this for 10 days. Drink wormwood mixed with water every morning. Wormwood destroys many parasites, but it also cannot be used for a long time because, for example, it affects the eyes.
- Another method is to pour a couple of stomach drops with the gentian onto the tongue. Bitter taste on the tongue causes the secretion of hydrochloric acid.
If the above methods do not work, then you should buy the hydrochloric acid capsules containing betaine and pepsin (Betaine HCL). Consume them with food. However, this method is only for people with large knowledge about the topic because they may experience problems, especially when the mucosa is weakened. Therefore, you should consult your doctor or specialist. This method is not for children.
People with gastric ulcers or damaged gastric mucosa may experience pain. I recommend first curing ulcers and mucus, and only then returning to acidification of the stomach. If you have stomach ulcers you cannot use apple vinegar.
